Andy and Kate have been the landlord and landlady at the Horseshoe Hotel in Egton Bridge, Whitby, for four years, where they gained a reputation for establishing an outstanding hotel, pub and dining experience.

Kate’s background in the hospitality industry dates back 20 years where she managed a 200 seater Beefeater restaurant near Leeds, at the Horseshoe Kate was responsible for all aspects of hotel management including accounts, staffing and salaries. Andy’s comes from a background in IT and has spent over 15 years in design, developing and prompting websites for businesses especially in the hospitality industry, Andy’s primary role beside the day to day running was breakfast chef, sales and successfully increased bookings year on year through channel management, website promotions and social media. He was also responsible for bar management and general maintenance.

Andy and Kate had an incredible reputation at the Horseshoe in terms of customer care, increasing occupancy, selling fantastic food and looking after their staff. They appreciate the need to take time off and you can be assured their experience and friendly personalities will benefit your business whilst you’re away.
